Power:
- For Melissa to be physically able to serve the children over many long days.
- For Melissa to be able to offer love and possibly medical care in meaningful ways. (We will learn more about the details of her service once we are there.)
- For Melissa to serve Christ in each of these children.
- For Pete to understand the culture and students well so that he can clearly communicate Biblical truth and not American ways.
- For Pete to convey respect and love across the cultural differences.
- For Pete to be flexible and discerning about how best to teach these students, which topics to dig into, which teaching techniques to use.
- For boldness to speak about Jesus Christ.
- For the students to learn to depend on the Bible above all else.
- For the students and pastor to become more unified in heart and ministry.
- For the Holy Spirit to be present guiding each of us.
- For both of us to be consistent and patient in listening to God.
- For good sharing and communication between us.
- For humble and broken hearts willing to receive whatever God wants to give.
- For Jesus to change us as he desires.
